How Do I Download The Minnesota Star Tribune App?

How Do I Get Signed In?
1. Open the App's settings menu.
2. In the settings menu, select "Sign In."
3. A Pop-up message will appear, saying that the app would like to open startribune.com to sign in. Select "Continue."
4. The app's internal browser will open the login page from startribune.com - enter your credentials in the appropriate fields, and hit "Login."
If you don't currently have a login, you will want to choose "Create one" towards the bottom of the page to create a new account.
5. When you're signed in, you should see a change in the settings menu, where you now have the option to sign out.
If you have an active subscription that includes digital access to our app, you should also now see that reflected in the menu.
What if I Don’t Have Access to the App?
If you're unable to view any articles on the app, go back to the settings menu. You should see a message that says the following:
You will encounter this message if you:
- Don't have a subscription that includes Digital Access.
- Haven't linked your startribune.com account to your subscription.
To resolve this error:
- If you don't have an active subscription, either select "Subscribe" or go to startribune.com/subscribe to start a subscription.
- Please note, if you're looking for access to the app and our other online content, you will need to choose a subscription that includes Digital Access.
- If you haven't linked your startribune.com account to your subscription, please do so at startribune.com/activate.
- You will be first asked to sign in at that page. Then, you will be asked for the last name and email address associated with your subscription.
- If you have an active subscription to link to, and it includes Digital Access, you should then be able to access the content on our app.
