How to Update Your Username:
Usernames are only required if you wish to comment on articles.
- To add or update your username, go to startribune.com/my-account.
- Under "My Profile," select "Create or Update Username."
- It will take you to a page where you can set your new username.
Please note: Usernames cannot be used for logging in.
How to Update the Email Address on Your Login:
- You can update your login account email address on your account's Member Center page.
- At that link, select "My Profile," and enter your new email address in the "Email" field.
- Once you do, save your changes at the bottom of the page.
- NOTE: If the email address you're trying to update to is already in use on our site, you will get an error. If that happens, please use this form to contact us.
How to Change Your Password:
- To change your password, go to your Member Center page.
- There, select the "Profile" tab, and under "Password," select "Change Password."
- Enter your current password in the required field, and then enter your new password in the following fields.
- Once finished, save your changes at the bottom of the page.
If you're logged out and have forgotten your password, go to this page.
- You should be directed to a login page, where you can select "Forgot Password?" to reset your password.
How to Update Your Email Preferences:
- You can manage your email preferences in your account's Member Center page.
- Under "Newsletters" you can choose to subscribe to different emails based on your topics of interest.
- Once you've opted-in to receiving any newsletters, save your changes at the top of the page.
